Obituary of Marion Diane Caggiano
Marion Diane Moore Caggiano- Quiet, gentle and kind. Age; 88, Hope, New Jersey
After a long battle with Alzheimer's Diane died in the arms of her son Steven on Tuesday evening December 28, 2021 at her home in Hope, New Jersey.
Diane was the daughter of Robert Bodenstedt Moore and Lucille Kirsch Moore. Diane was born June 1, 1933 in Seattle Washington. She was raised along the shores of Puget Sound and loved exploring and playing amongst the driftwood and tidal ponds. She attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. The Great Pacific Northwest was never far from her heart with the many memories of family deeply rooted there.
She is survived by her children from her first marriage to Jack W. Ringo; her son Steven and his wife Marybeth, and son James and his wife Lorie. Grandchildren Jessica, Michael, Johne and wife Tiana, and Alex and Carrie Ringo.
She is predeceased by her husband Carmine A. Caggiano and survived by his children; son Anthony and wife Patricia, and daughter Diana Caggiano. Grandchildren Katie and Rachel Caggiano and Brian and wife Kathryn, and Nicholas Daboul.
Also survived by her loving sister Monica “Monnie” Moen of Gig Harbor Washington and her nephew Todd Veenhuizen and his wife Donna and their children; Kate and Ally. Diane was predeceased by her parents Robert B. Moore and Lucille Kirsch Moore as well as by her brother-in-law Milo Moen.
Diane was quiet, gentle and kind. She loved all animals and created sanctuary for them at her home (Wool Winder Farm) in Hope. She loved gardening and spent her days on the property making it a masterpiece that won her an award for her gardening. She spent her time cross stitching, reading, antiquing, creating a home that reflected her love of yesteryear when life was simpler. She wrote the family history-creating voluminous works on The Moore Family. Her handwriting- legendary.
She loved us to the end. She is missed already.
The family would like to thank her caregivers and especially Joanna and Sandy of Compassionate Care Hospice, Budd Lake, NJ.
A Funeral service will be celebrated in the Spring of 2022. Final interment will be held privately at the Moravian Cemetery in Hope at that time also. She is entrusted to the care of Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825.
