James A. Rabas, 73, died December 9, 2021 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He was born September 12, 1948 in Passaic, New Jersey to Arthur and Margaret (Holden) Rabas. James served in the United State Marine Corps from 1966 to 1972. While in the USMC he received numerous medals, ribbons, and badges, most notably The Bronze star and The Purple Heart. Jim worked for as a fire protection installer for many years, also at L.E. Walters & Sons, as a delivery man. 

His passions included gardening, his coin collection, going to Wildwood and Cape May, and he was an avid Yankees fan and he also enjoyed watching basketball. He enjoyed listening to music, especially country, jazz and rock and roll. James was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

James is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Donna. He is also survived by his beloved dog Cody the papillon.

A period of visitation will be held from 10:00am-12pm Saturday, December 18th at Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825, with a military service by the American Legion at 11:50, followed by funeral service at 12pm. Inurnment to follow at Cedar Ridge Cemetery, Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825.

In Leui of flowers, donations can be made to the Blairstown Ambulance Core, Blaristown Fire House, or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
