Obituary of Richard Waldron
Richard G. Waldron, Jr., died unexpectedly at his home last week. He was born on August 5, 1970.
As a child he began participating in organized youth sports at the age of eight. He had a strong passion for baseball, which he played for many years. He also played basketball for several years. As he grew older, he developed a passion for car collecting, amassing an impressive collection of show and collectible cars, of which he was very proud. His favorites included a minted out Hummer 1 and his Silver Shadow Rolls Royce, which he occasionally drove for friends’ weddings. He worked in the commodity industry in lower Manhattan for more than twenty-five years. He was a lifelong dog lover and several became his constant companions through the years. He also loved tending to and landscaping the grounds of his beloved Blairstown home.
Rick is predeceased by his father Richard G. Waldron Sr. and survived by his former wife, Kelly Waldron, his mother, Jacqueline Waldron, two brothers, Douglas J. Waldron and his wife Loren, Glenn R. Waldron and his wife Karin, three nieces and a nephew.
Rick was cremated and services are private under the direction of Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825.
