Michael (Mike) Joseph Pisano of Blairstown New Jersey passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at the age of 76. Mike passed away peacefully with his beloved wife, Ruth and their children by his side. Mike was born in New York, New York on August 29, 1945 to father Michael Pisano and mother Virginia Pucciarelli. He was raised in Granite Springs, New York. As an only child he came from a small family and later would meet and marry Ruth Elaine Scherb to create a larger family with 7 children that began in New York. Later the family would move to rural Blairstown where Mike loved being in the country and creating a garden. Mike graduated from Somers High School in 1962. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 1967, and went on to earn a masters degree in Business Administration. His first job out of school was at Norden in Norwalk, CT for 6 years. Mike then furthered his career by moving to Hazeltine for many years. He then worked for Vikonics Inc. for over 25 years where he became vice president of the corporation. Vikonics would later be sold to EPS based in Maryland where Mike stayed on to help with the transition. Mike was an avid outdoorsman which included gardening, hunting, hiking, fishing, boating and camping. He loved going to the beach, and swimming with his family. He was an active parent in their children's Boy Scouts troops as a Troop leader and the Outdoor Adventure Patrol under the Girl Scouts. Mike took every opportunity to show his family how to fix or improve things. He had a big heart and wouldn't hesitate to take time to help anyone in need. Family was everything to Mike and he was completely devoted to them. He welcomed his children's spouses into the family with open arms and often filled the role of father to them.
