Obituary of Carol G. Patton

Carol Grimshaw Patton, East Stroudsburg, PA passed away unexpectedly on January 23, 2021. She was the loving wife of Allan Robert Patton until his death in 2013. Born February 9, 1937, she was the daughter of Ralph and Alice (Davis) Grimshaw. Carol was born and raised in Worthington, OH, and lived in NJ and PA throughout her adult life. Prior to her retirement, she served as branch manager of the First Fidelity Bank in Flemington, NJ. She was often referred to as the Saint of the family and lovingly supported her family for 83 years. She attended Ohio State University and remained a fierce fan of the OSU Buckeyes, never missing a game. After her marriage, she graduated from Gwynedd-Mercy College. Throughout her life she enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, reading, and most of her all her weekly Bridge games. Carol is survived by her daughter, Beth Patton Comerford, and her husband Cliff, of Southbury, CT; her sister, Kathryn Grimshaw of Andes, NY, her daughter-in-law Regina Robinson-Patton, her five grandchildren: Allan Patton, Eva-Ziss-Patton, Grey Patton, Dana Graves and her husband Bryan, Todd Richards; nine great-grandchildren, her nieces and nephews (Towne) and their families, and cousins Richhard Helmick and Sharon Davis. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Tim, and her daughter, Lisa. A memorial service to celebrate Carol's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carol's name to Animal Welfare Society of Monroe, Stroudsburg, PA; the American Heart Association; the American Cancer Society.
