Obituary of Diane Davalos

Diane Davalos, 58, of Knowlton Twp., NJ, passed away on December 10th, 2020. Diane was born in Morristown, NJ to James and Mary Ransegnola on August 27th, 1962. She went to Randolph High School and graduated in 1982. She went on to earn a Degree in Education from William Paterson University. Diane taught second grade for 6 years in Randolph before leaving to raise her family. She returned to teaching when her youngest was in Kindergarten at Knowlton Twp. Elementary. She continued to teach at Knowlton for 19 years. She enjoyed going on walks with her dog Ellie, planning activities for her students, and above all else, spending quality time with her friends and family. She received the Teacher of the Year Award 2017, was awarded MARE Educator of the Year in 2005, and was involved in numerous organizations within the school and the community including the Knowlton Twp. PTA and KTEA. Diane was passionate about teaching which is evident in the everlasting relationships she has built with her students and their families throughout the years. Diane is survived by her husband, John and her three children, Amanda, Nicholas, and Jonathan. She is also survived by her parents, James and Mary of Randolph, NJ, her sisters Ann, and Debbie, and her brothers, Mike, John, and Nick. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to family, friends, and those in the community who have shown unwavering support and overwhelming love for Diane. A Celebration of Life Services will be announced in the near future and held in early 2021. Arrangements are under the direction of Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825
