Obituary of Emma Hoernle

Emma Amelia Hoernle, 96 years of age, an amazing little lady, born in Herne, Germany, October 28, 1921. A real survivor of horrific events of World War II, where she was buried for three days in the rubble of the bombed out family home. Immigrated to America in 1956, and became a proud US citizen in 1960. As one of her first jobs in the US, she loved working at the United Nations in New York and later enjoyed working for more than 30 years at the Land of Make Believe in Hope, NJ.

Emma is survived by her only child Erich P. Hoernle and her daughter in law Carol Bailey Hoernle, of Lafayette, NJ and Venice, FL.

The family wish to extend their gratitude to The Andover Subacute and Rehab Centr for your thoughtful care of our mother.

Cremation services were provided by Newbaker Funeral Home of Blairstown, NJ.
