Obituary of Jack L Hicks

Type Obit HereJack L Hicks, 75 years of age, of Knowlton Township, NJ, died on December 21st, 2011, at Clover Rest Home. Born in Dover ,N J, he was a son the late Stephen and Gertrude (Benson) Hicks. Mr Hicks was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1957. He had earlier lived in Budd Lake, NJ, and in Columbia, NJ for the past seventeen years. He retired in 1999, after having worked for 36 years as a Food Manager for the former Food Town Supermarket in Boonton, NJ. To the local residents he was known as the Hot Dog man with his small roadside cart on Route 94. He was a member of Local #404A in Little Falls, NJ. Mr Hicks is survived by his loving family; his wife, the former Robin Maccione, four daughters, Brooke Hicks, Knowlton Township, Missy Damon, Bridgeport, NY, Adrienne Ulmer, Lake Hopatcong and Jamie Finkelstein, Newton, and two sons, Jay Hicks, Knowlton Township, and Daniel Scott Hicks, Washington, NJ, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also three brothers, Roger, Donald and Dennis Hicks and two sisters, Joan Dauenhauer and Doris Crowley. Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, December 27, at Hillside Cemetery, Flanders, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Rt 94, Blairstown, NJ
