Obituary of Olav A Johansen

Olav A (Andy) Johansen, 81 years of age, of Columbia, New Jersey, died at his home on October 3, 2011. Born in Kvinsedal, Norway, he was a son of the late Rolf and Alma Johansen. Mr Johansen had lived in Columbia for 32 years and had previously lived in Netcong. He was a self-employed carpenter, having built custom homes, mostly in the Morris County area, retiring in 2007. Mr Johansen had served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a long time member of Carpenters' Local # 254, of Hackettstown, NJ. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 62 years, the former Joan T Harrold, two nephews, Kevin Dalrymple and Robert Olson and a niece, Regina Rose. Also his close friends, James and Anna Marino. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, October 7th, at Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Rt 94, Blairstown, NJ. Visitation on Thursday from 5-7:00PM. Interment will be in Hainesburg Cemetery, Rt 94, Hainesburg, Knowlton Township, NJ.
