Donald Durant Diana was born August 3, 1934 in Hackensack NJ. He was the youngest of three brothers. He was a carpenter by trade as was his father and second older brother. The family worked on several building jobs together in the Bergen County area. Don served in the Army National Guard. After his service, his career led him to the building trade as foreman for several contractors in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
He met his wife Ann Glorioso and they married in 1959. They had four children: Don, Mark, Laura and Tony. All of whom were raised in Blairstown. The family home was built by Don and his sons.
After retiring from the building trade, he pursued a real estate career.
Don’s leisure pursuits included hunting and traveling. He and his wife enjoyed vacationing in Cape Cod. Later in life he enjoyed several trips to Italy, both on his own and with family members. He enjoyed healthy cooking and educating himself on natural health.
He was an avid reader and was happy to share his ideas and opinions on a number of topics with family, friends and neighbors.
He is survived by his four children and their spouses; Laura, Don, Mark and wife Michele, and Tony and his wife Julie. He has five grandchildren; Brittany, Matthew, Brian, Ann and Daniel, and one great grandchild; Riley.
A period of visitation will be held from 4-7 PM, Friday, December 3, 2021 at Newbaker Funeral Home,200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825.
