Roy Pfeifle of Hope passed away on June 17, 2021. He was 89 years old. Born in Jersey City, NJ in 1932 to Florence Wunder. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Roy had lived in Cliffside Park, NJ before moving to Hope in 1993. He was employed as a longshoreman for the ILA before his retirement. He was in the Sea Scouts. Roy was the Boy Scout Master of Troop 129 in Fairview, NJ. He is a member of the Silver Lake Property Association. He was proceeded by his wife, Maureen Pfeifle (Ferguson) in 2004, his parents, John and Florence Wunder, his brother Kenneth Pfeiffer and his sister Lois Sanner. He is survived by his children: Thomas Pfeifle of Glen Burnie, MD, Brian Pfeifle of Lafayette, NJ, Raymond and Therese Pfeifle of Sussex, NJ, Steven and Tammy Pfeifle of River Edge, NJ, Jeanie Pfeifle & Rob Logan of Brick, NJ, Kevin Pfeifle of New Jersey and Mark Pfeifle of Moonachie, NJ. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made to the Hope Volunteer Fire Department 416 Hope Blairstown Road, Hope, NJ 07844 or the Blairstown Ambulance Corp. 108 NJ – 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825. Visitations will be held at the Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ 07825 on Tuesday, June 22 from 3:00 to 7:00. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 23 at 10:30 at the Newbaker Funeral Home followed by the burial at The Hope Moravian Cemetery, Hope, NJ.
