Antonina Baguley (nee Santoro) affectionally know as Nina, residing in Blairstown, NJ, originally from Irvington, NJ, passed away peacefully at home with her husband by her side on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 after a courageous 2-year battle with inflammatory breast cancer. She is survived by her devoted husband of 25 years, Philip William Baguley, from Irvington, and two children Marisa, 18, and Philip Jr, 12. Surviving are Nina's parents, Salvatore and Graziella Santoro (nee Carambia), originally from Sicily and currently residing in Bushkill, PA, along with her sister, Maria Santoro Johnston and her husband, James Johnston from Bushkill, PA, brothers Anthony Santoro from Bushkill PA, Joseph Santoro and his fiancé Starr Salvatore from Hamilton, NJ, and Salvatore Santoro Jr. from Wilkes Barre, PA, along with her brother-in-law Allan James Baguley, from Hazlet, NJ. Nina is also survived by nieces Raina Santoro, Nicole Santoro, Jillian Salvatore, Aundrea Fink, and nephews Logan Santoro, Michael Leonard, Nino Santoro, Daniel Salvatore, and her Uncle, Andrew Santoro, of Easton, PA. She is survived by many close friends, aunts, uncles and cousins currently living here and in Italy and Germany. Nina is also survived by her family's beloved Greyhound, Ivy. Also two of Philip's cousins, Susan and Andrew Altobelli, Dover, PA. Nina was pre-deceased by a baby sister, Gracie Nancy, her mother-in-law Violet Southern Baguley, her father-in-law, Kenneth Albert Baguley from Bolton, England, along with maternal grandparents Maria Messina and Antonino Carambia of Catania, Italy, and paternal grandparents Antonino and Antonina Santoro of Newark, NJ. Nina attended St. Paul the Apostle School in Irvington, NJ, and is a 1987 graduate of Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark, NJ. She forged a career in the insurance industry as a Surety Bond Manager and was last employed by The Dale Group in Florham Park, NJ. Nina loved spending time with all her family and friends. "International Tuesdays" were a family favorite time of the week when family would get together and cook an international meal. On weekends, her family would go to their favorite bagel shop, Java Joe's, in Ledgewood, NJ, after which they would go on a peaceful stroll around Horseshoe Lake. She greatly enjoyed her beach getaways with family and friends in Virginia Beach. She loved to cook and bake. She was also the type of person to call her Mom and say, "we will be over for dinner tonight." Nina was a Girl Scout Leader for Frelinghuysen Troop 70023 for the past 12 years, along with volunteering with her husband, Philip, for the Salvation Army for the last four years. She was an active member of the Blairstown MOMS Club where she made many life-long friends along with her children. In her final days, Nina was tended to lovingly by all members of her family, including life-time friend, Eva Marie Torres of South Amboy, NJ, and Marianne Nicholson of Virginia Beach, VA. Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Nina left remarkable legacies and memories to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was thoughtful, kind, positive, fun-loving; a doting wife and mother; and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Following cremation, funeral services will be held on Friday, March 26th at 11 a.m. at St. Jude's Church on Rt. 94 in Blairstown. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Ridgedale Avenue in East Hanover at 1:00 p.m. An early family-style repast dinner will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Mama Vittoria Restaurant, 160 Franklin Ave. Nutley, NJ, for family and friends of the family.
