Carole Rubenstein

Frelinghuysen, New Jersey – Carole Doria Rubenstein (née Heimbrecht), a forty-seven-year resident of Frelinghuysen, died Wednesday the 9th of October 2019 at her home.

She was born June 24th, 1937, in Newark, NJ. She was pre-deceased by both parents, Lisbeth Erna Heimbrecht (d. Oct 1969) and Erich Alfred Heimbrecht (d. July 1980). She had a sister, Marga Heimbrecht who died in 1958.

She was first married to Stanley Lieberman (1963 – 1972) and bore a son, David in May of 1964; then second married to Henry Rubenstein (1972 to 2012) and bore another son Alexander in November of 1973. Her husband, Henry, died at the same home in Frelinghuysen in January of 2012.

Through the years, Carole worked at Picatinny Arsenal, and after raising children worked for Henry at his medical practice in Dover, New Jersey. She also was involved with various Jewish Centers and volunteered her time. She was an avid reader and even the librarian remarked how she will be missed. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and playing Mahjong with her friends. Carole and Henry also traveled to many places, including Israel, China, Russia, Mexico, and Greece. To anyone who knew her, you would know that she was a stickler for dates.

She is survived by her sons, David and Alexander; daughters-in-law Tracey and Jeannine; grandchildren Jessie, Ellis, Joshua, Eve, Noah, Caleb and Asher; nephew Bruce; niece Marie; grand-nephew Allan.

Carole was laid to rest in accordance with the customs of the Jewish faith at Hollywood Memorial Park on October 13th, 2019, with family present
