Loretta Mary Trumpore (nee Urban), 91, of Hope, NJ passed away April 11, 2019 in Newton after an illness. She was born January 20, 1928 in Chicago, IL. She later attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, earning her teaching degree. She taught mathematics for 18 years in the Appleton, WI school district.
Loretta moved to New Jersey in the early 1980's, living first in Hopatcong before settling in Hope, NJ with her partner, Lawrence (Larry) Trumpore. They were married in 2014.
The two enjoyed the color of the many flowers, especially the daylilies, at Hemknoll Farm, their home in Hope. She and Larry eventually bought a second home in Clayton, NY where they spent time cruising the St. Lawrence River on one of their antique wooden boats. Loretta also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.
Loretta is survived by her husband, Lawrence Trumpore, her two children, George Nye and Jane Nye, her grandchildren Wesley (SuHoi) Nye, Gregory (Amy) Nye, and Jamie (Raymond) Webber, and great-grandchildren Logan Nye, and Owen and Nathan Webber. She is also survived by Lawrence's grandchildren, Kimberly, Melissa, and Emily Trumpore and Samantha and Christopher Pivetz. She was predeceased by her first husband, George Nye, and her brother, George Urban.
