Cyrilla Dier

Obituary of Cyrilla Dier

Cyrilla was a compassionate listener and a loving soul who always put the needs of others before her own. There never was a time that she didn't nurture and guide the people she cared about. She had a contagious smile that captured the hearts of everyone. Cyrilla also had a wonderful sense of humor, which she needed to get through the incessant demands of three girls, family vacation mishaps, birthday cake artwork, annual thanksgiving feast fiascos and hours of parking space searching.

Cyrilla supported her church, her daughters' schools and the community through countless hours of service. She was a talented singer and musician and a great cook (especially making mac and cheese). Her creativity and artistic talent shined brightly when she crocheted, crafted, and decorated, to name a few. She was incredibly smart, patient, beautiful, and extremely humble in her talents.

We know angels exist on earth because of Cyrilla. She touched the lives of so many people. Her life was guided by her faith and love of God. Many hours of prayer were dedicated to those in need. She always appreciated the blessings she had and found light in any situation. She had the ability to calmly endure great hardships and pain.

Above all Cyrilla's greatest devotion in life was to her family. She was raised by her loving parents, Josephine and Cyril Gielen who had taught her endless generosity and love. She was also blessed to have three loving sisters Elizabeth Bedotto, Mary Thomas and Marge Halupka. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Dier, in June 1973. Together they created a loving family and a lifetime of cherished memories. She now lives through her loving husband of 44 years and her three daughters and their husbands: Corinne and Michael Pilote, Janine and Ron Banghart and Sarah and Michael Singer. She also cherished her three grandchildren Amber Banghart, Renée Banghart, and Monroe Singer. Cyrilla also loved her grandpuppies, Renegade, CJ, and Jasmin. She was a true friend to many and a matriarch to her entire family.
