Biography

Consiglia "Celia" Lorusso, 78 years of age, of Bridgewater, NJ, died on January 1st. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Cosimo and Julia (Markowitz) Padovano.
Celia and her late husband, Pasquale (2011) lived and raised their family in Vailsburg, Newark, until 1973 when they moved to Union. In 1988, they retired and moved to Cape Cod, MA, where they lived until 2009 when they moved to Toms River, NJ. Celia worked as a bank teller for 20 years at Howard Savings, Irvington, NJ. She was an active member of Our Lady of the Cape Church, Brewster, MA, and a member of the Red Hats Club.
Survived by her daughter, Celia Bouffidis and her husband, Peter, three sons, Brian, Dominick, and Cosmo, daughters in law,Dorothy, Patricia and Catherine,10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a devoted and adoring wife.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM, Thursday, January 5, at St Jude Roman Catholic Church, 7 Eisenhower Road, Blairstown, NJ. Visitation on Wednesday from 4-8 PM, at Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Rt 94, Blairstown.

I have many fond memories of Mrs. Lorusso. She was a soft spoken, gentle woman whos family meant everything to her. She will be greatly missed. My love and prayers to her family. Celia, Brian, Dom,and Cos I love you all. Geraldine
